Verstraete IML labels made in the USA

Verstraete IML, a Multi-Color Company, opens its new plant in Batavia, Ohio soon. Koen Verstraete, Managing Director Verstraete IML, says: “We aim to significantly expand our market leadership in North-America and serve American clients even better by producing locally. We are already looking forward to informing our clients in North and South America in detail about our US production site during the NPE Fair in May 2018.”

Verstraete IML has joined forces with 25 companies to showcase no less than 12 IML projects

First of all, machine producer Haitian has collaborated with Ningo Well-Lih Robots and Push Mold to present a 130ml round cup with orange peel wrap around IML label. The cycle time is 3,5 sec and the wall thickness 0.38mm. Each part weighs 4.5g.

Machine producer Arburg has joined forces with molds and automation producer Brink to show a small round 125ml cup. It is decorated with an orange peel wrap around label. The 4-cavity system has a cycle time of 1.9 sec. Each part has a weight of 3.6g and a wall thickness of 0.32mm.

Arburg in cooperation with Ilsemann will show an injection compression 116mm round IML lid. The details of this project are: 4 cavities, 3.5 sec cycle time, a part weight of 4.67g and a wall thickness of 0.31mm.

Taiwanese automation supplier Wetec will present a 250ml cup, together with its partners Asian Plastic Machinery and Cheng Feng for the mold. The cup will be decorated with a wrap around and bottom IML label. The 4-cavity system has a cycle time of 4 sec. Each part has a weight of 5.9g and a wall thickness of 0.43mm.

Swiss machine producer Netstal joined forces with Beck Automation and Fostag to showcase a bioplastic coffee capsule. This innovative project with wrap around bio-based and industrial compostable IML label has a cycle time of 6 sec, 4 cavities, a part weight of 5g and a wall thickness of 0.48mm.

Sumitomo Demag, Machines Pages and TechnoMoules will present an injection compression rectangular lid with a DoubleSided IML label. This is an IML label printed on both sides and therefore creates various marketing opportunities for brand owners. The system has 2 cavities and a cycle time of 4 sec. Each part weighs 11g and has a wall thickness of 0.35mm.

At the LK Systems booth, one can discover a 5 gallon pail. This pail is decorated with a Matt &HighGloss IML label. This innovative IML project has one cavity and a cycle time of 18sec. The part weight is 740g and the wall thickness 1.9mm.

At the booth of CBW Automation one can discover a wet wipes container with a side panel orange peel IML label. The machine is produced by Netstal and the mold by Muller. The 4 cavity system has a cycle time of 3.9 sec. The part weight is 15.7g and the wall thickness 0.5mm.

Trexel presents 2 projects. The first project is a 200ml TRIM single serve cup with an orange peel wrap around IML label. Preferred partners are Milacron, Ilsemann Automation and Stack Teck. The details of this project are: 4 cavities, 3.5 sec cycle time, a part weight of 4.8 and a wall thickness of 0.122mm.

The second project created with the same partners is a 32oz square container, decorated with a 5-sided IML label. The details of this project are: 1x1 development tool, 6-7 sec cycle time, a part weight of 34.2g and a wall thickness of 0.8mm for the bottom and 0.7mm for the side.

Another innovative IML project can be discovered at the booth of Yushin. A shaker cup with a transparent Reverse IML label will be produced in cooperation with partners Toyo and Schmit Prototypes. This one cavity system has a cycle time of 30 sec. Each part weighs 58.97g and has a wall thickness of 1.65mm.

Visitors looking for IML-T, should visit the booth of Illig, who will present a tub with 5-sided IML label.
