"Overwhelming" was the impression of Alfred Schiffer, Managing Partner of BOY, with respect to the Chinaplas 2018. But he is not the only one with this opinion: The new exhibition center in Shanghai convinced many of the international trade visitors with its fascinating size and perfect organization. "This fair in Shanghai is well on its way to become number 2 after the world's leading trade fair" K "in Dusseldorf," adds Alfred Schiffer his impressions of the four-day event.

This is supported by numerous, promising technical discussions, which the German machine manufacturer has had at the booth of its North China representation Andeli Co. Ltd. According to BOY, not only the pure standard machines were the focus of the trade visitors. During the discussions it has turned out that the focus is on complete machine solutions incl. peripherals and automation equipment.

The family-run company, located in Neustadt-Fernthal, sees itself well-positioned with the development of its handling BOY LR 5. The linear handling with a five-axis industrial robot and a positioning-accuracy of ± 0.02 mm is perfectly matched to the automation-specific designed BOY Injection Moulding Machines. Both control systems – that from the Injection Moulding Machine and automation equipment - communicate with each other via standardized interfaces.

One of the two BOY exhibits celebrated its premiere at the Chinaplas: The BOY XXS designed as a desktop injection molding machine was exhibited for the first time at a fair in China. The trade visitors’ interest in this compact Injection Moulding Machine with 63 kN clamping force was enormous. Also in the case of the smallest Injection Moulding Machine BOY relies on the proven screw plasticizing, which works according to the "first in - first out" principle. With screw diameters between 8 and 18 mm, plasticizing volumes of 0.06 to 10.2 cm? are possible in continuous industrial operation. Equally advantageous are the clamping plates of the BOY XXS, which have been specially optimized for the microforms of many standard manufacturers.

BOY 25E 03

The BOY 25 E received just as much attention. The success model driven by a servomotor with 250 kN clamping force (more than 25,000 times manufactured) impressed with its high dynamics and outstanding running smoothness. Both Injection Moulding Machines were equipped with the latest BOY control generation Procan ALPHA.

Wolfgang Schmidt, BOY Export Manager, who was also very impressed by the new exhibition center, summarizes: “With our long-standing partners Andeli and Trillion we are very well represented in the Chinese market. The steady growth rates of recent years prove that China was and is one of the most important markets for us.
