ATI Industrial Automation introduces new capacitive six-axis force/torque sensor

ATI Industrial Automation introduces new capacitive six-axis force/torque sensor

News 11.01.2016

The Capacitive F/T Sensor measures the full six components of force and torque (Fx, Fy, Fz, Tx, Ty, Tz). The sensor is IP65-rated for protection against dust and water spray and hard mechanical stops are implemented for overload protection. Easy output options include computer connection via optional USB and Ethernet conversion cables.

ATI Capacitive FT model 200

The Capacitive F/T’s Force Range (Fx, Fy, Fz) is 45 lbf (200 N) and Torque Range (Tx, Ty, Tz) is 35 in-lb (4 Nm). Output options include an Ethernet conversion box that allows connection to Ethernet networks, USB conversion cables that allow connection to a personal computer or other devices and is powered by the USB output, and RS-422 serial connection, which provides unterminated wires for data signals and user 5 VDC power input.

ATI also offers a wide range of custom and standard silicon strain gage-based sensor models from 17 mm to 330 mm and include environmental protection (IP) on most models. All ATI F/T Sensors measure six components of force and torque (Fx, Fy, Fz, Tx, Ty, Tz), and feature a compact design, hardened stainless steel construction, high-speed output, overload protection, span temperature compensation options, and high signal-to-noise ratio.

ATI Industrial Automation is a world-leading, engineering-based developer of robotic peripheral equipment, including Automatic Tool Changers, Multi-Axis Force/Torque Sensing Systems, Robotic Deburring Tools, Robotic Collision Sensors, and Compliance Devices. ATI’s engineering department, the largest of its kind for a robotic tooling company, is focused on developing cost-effective, state-of-the-art products and solutions that improve robotic productivity.
