Yizumi de- veloped a new screw design to increase the process to higher recovery rates and be tt er performance for glass fi ber fi lled polymers. In addi ti on, the price of the equipment decreases significant. In Germany Yizumi is part of a standardi- sation team which is defining a new standard for the produc ti on based on foam injec ti on moulding. Meanwhile also the disadvantage of foam injec- ti on moulding – poor surface quality – is solved. Based on a thin ceramic layer in the cavity walls of the tool you get a perfect surface for a low amount of investment cost. Physical foam injection moulding related technologies like Water Injec- ti on Technology (WIT) or Gas Injec ti on Technology (GIT) are also developed and o ff ered to customers. In this spe- cial case we work close together with our network partner PME fl uidtec in Germany. Based on the WIT process for example, you produce in thick wall areas of plas ti c parts cavi ti es or hol- low spaces to lower the weight of the fi nal part. An injection moulding ma- chine is equipped with a special mix- ing screw. In the area of the metering sec ti on of the plas ti fi ca ti on unit a fi ber cu tti ng and stu ffi ng device is connect- ed to the injec ti on moulding machine. The fi ber length can be varied by the cu tti ng device and the amount of fi bres can be changed by changing the speed of the unit and/or can be changed by the number of rovings which are fed into the device. As a result you do not need to pur- chase high priced fi ber fi lled plas ti cs anymore.
