As the inventor of the compressed air granu- late dryer as well as inter- nal compressed air mold cooling for blow molding processes, FarragTech has invariably been setting benchmarks when it comes to u ti lizing the bene fi ts in- herent in these technolo- gies. Another main focus of the company’s product development lies on protec- tion against condensation water for cooled molds, in which area FarragTech has created an exceptionally energy-efficient and low- cost solu ti on. Now the product range and the team of FarragTech are being integrated into the structures of the WITTMANN Group, thus providing them with direct access from their headquar- ters in Wolfurt to the en ti re development know-how and the interna ti onal sales network of the WITTMANN Group. Under the PSG prod- uct brand, the number of versions of the smartFILL nozzle series has been expanded with a new fo- cus. The range is perfectly complemented by the pneumatic and hydraulic operating unit for valve gate nozzles. In control sys- tems, the combina ti on of a VCON controller with the pro fi TEMP+ in one cabinet has been made possible. The newly developed se- ries focuses on melt guid- ance and ease of mainte- nance. With the very large variety of nozzle lengths, melt channel diameters and gate geometries, the smartFILL nozzle series is now also available in the large 4557 and the small 4019 versions. The nozzles are available in the varia- ti ons smartFILL (slide seal), smartFILL Shot (screwed in) or smartFILL Shot Single (single application). They are not only suitable for processing technical and fi lled plas ti c types, but also for direct ga ti ng or ga ti ng to a cold runner. The new con- cept of hea ti ng right up to the injec ti on point ensures a homogeneous tempera- ture pro fi le, which in turn guarantees highest compo- nent quality. Compact redevelopment Compatible with the smartFILL nozzle series, the pneuma ti c (DP 53x63) and hydraulic (MH 24x55) operating units for valve gate nozzles are new in the range. With the pneu- matic operating unit, the pin is opened and closed via the clamping plate us- ing compressed air. Even with individual actuation of each nozzle, ti ght inside dimensions are possible for both units. This makes these opera ti ng units par- ti cularly suitable for use in conjunc ti on with the 19 and 27 nozzle sizes in the smart- FILL series. All op ti ons in one cabinet Achieve optimum in- jec-tion moulding results through sequen ti al control of the melt flow. During the opening or closing of the valve pin, it is possible to control the various pin positions hydraulically in staggered modes. For cas- caded filling of injection moulded parts with several injec ti on points, visible de- fects on moulded parts can be avoided this way.
