Since September 2018, Aaron Farrag has taken over the fate of FarragTech GmbH, which is a manufacturer of peripheral devices for the processing of plastics. He is following in the footsteps of his father, Rainer Farrag, who founded the internationally active business in 2005. “I am very glad and proud that FarragTech will remain a family run business also in the future,” explains Aaron Farrag, who, due to the change in leadership, moves up from operating officer to chief operating officer. “I am very excited about the new challenge. In recent years, the company has excellently developed economically and is growing continuously. Our task now is to continue this positive trend,” says Farrag.
Since 1st September 2018, Aaron Farrag has officially been the new chief operating officer of the company FarragTech GmbH |
Therefore, the company domiciled in Wolfurt, Austria, will intensify greater international focus, according to the new chief operating officer. “In a globalised world, it is more and more important to identify growth markets and position oneself strategically and ultimately also abroad,” explains Farrag. So, among other things, it is planned to set up an own production site in Australia, which shall strengthen the market position on the continent and simultaneously shorten the distribution channels to the Asian market; initial talks regarding this have already taken place.
About FarragTech
FarragTech was originally founded in 1991 as FASTI by Rainer Farrag, the inventor of the first compressed air dryer, and by Bernhard Stipsits. After both managing directors decided to go separate ways in 2002, Rainer Farrag founded the FarragTech GmbH effective from 1st June 2005. The company specialises in peripheral devices for further processing of plastic resin, increasing the quality of products as well as the productivity of the processing machines.
The portfolio of the manufacturer includes resin dryers which are a further development of the compressed air dryer invented by Rainer Farrag, as well as systems for internal mould cooling, various loader and atmospheric air drying devices for mould area protection, of which were also developed by FarragTech. The company currently employs twelve staff in its Wolfurt headquarters in Austria. Production takes place in Slovenia, with marketing carried out worldwide.
