Braskem showcased its progress at K 2025 Show

News 22.10.2025

Braskem, the market leader in industrial-scale biopolymer production, was present at K 2025, taking place in Düsseldorf, Germany, from October 8 to 15. Since the last edition in 2022, Braskem had accelerated its transformation journey in response to the current petrochemical industry landscape. At Hall 6, the company was showcasing how it had evolved through the acceleration of strategic initiatives: optimization of naphtha-based units, expansion of gas-based operations, and significant investments in bio-based technologies and products. Visitors had a chance to experience the company's pioneering spirit and discover how Braskem is leading innovation in more sustainable products.

Braskem's resilience and transformation
The strategy, branded as Braskem Transforma, is reshaping the company's operations and the industry as a whole. By optimizing naphtha-based units, increasing gas-based production, and leveraging its leadership in bio-based products, Braskem is paving the way for a more circular and low-carbon future.

"K 2025 is the perfect moment to showcase how Braskem's transformation strategy is progressing-for our operations, our partners, and the planet. By shifting to gas and expanding the use of renewables, we're not just adapting to change-we're leading the way toward a more resilient and lower-carbon future for the plastics industry," said Roberto Ramos, CEO of Braskem.

Serving global markets with a diversified and expanding portfolio
Braskem was highlighting its continuously expanding portfolio, designed to support converters and brand owners in over 40 countries with innovative solutions to accelerate their sustainability journeys:
• I'm greenT bio-based polyethylene, EVA, and polyethylene wax, already featured in over 200 global brands.
• Wenew portfolio, with recycled content products, rapidly growing with over 55 grades and more than 85,000 tons sold globally.
• Circular packaging design and collaborative innovation through Cazoolo, Braskem's circular design lab

"At Braskem, we see K 2025 as a global opportunity to deepen partnerships and co-create solutions that drive circularity and business growth. Our portfolio continues to expand through feedstock diversification-from bio-based to recycled-reflecting our commitment to supporting customers in over 40 countries in meeting their growing sustainability expectations and building more resilient value chains," commented Walmir Soller, Vice President for North America, Europe, and Asia - NAMEA, and CEO of Braskem BV.
