Tokyo-based Polyplastics Co., Ltd. is one of the leading suppliers of engineering plastics in Asia with strong customer-oriented approach. The Japanese company founded its European sales subsidiary in Frankfurt, Germany in November 2012 as part of its global expansion strategy.
Polyplastics Europe GmbH main goal is to bring the company closer to its customers, providing distributive services as well as technical support. The subsidiary could not miss the opportunity to meet with its clients both valued and prospective at Fakuma 2018 held in Friedrichshafen this October.
At Polyplastics Europe GmbH booth all interested visitors could have an insight into the company’s product range as well as to communicate with the team of experts.
Satoshi Nishiwaki, Managing Director of Polyplastics Europe GmbH eagerly shared his thoughts on the trade fair with our reporter.
What are your impressions regarding Fakuma show?
Fakuma is a local exhibition. We are here because many German-speaking customers visit the show and we can have discussions over our products at Polyplastics booth. So our purpose is to show our presence on the European market and to demonstrate our name of Polyplastics. It is very important as we are new here while in Asia we have been working for over 50 years.
So we have to improve our presence in Europe and promote our brand awareness. It is possibly a little bit easier due to the fact that the customers we meet here are also doing business, for example in China.
So European and American customers have already heard about our company as they met us in Asia. We find it advantageous that a typical European customer has already encountered us at least on the Asian market.
They say, it is the Japanese keen eye on technical details that makes Polyplastics strong. What else helps Polyplastics as a Japanese company to keep competitive on the European market?
Like German companies, Polyplastics is focused on quality just the same way. However, Japanese products are usually not just about the price. We are striving to improve by introducing innovative technical approach. Besides, we are conservative. That means we stay long with our customers. And one more advantage we could be proud of is our global technical support. When launching business activities, supporting a customer is our first priority.
Could you please tell us some words about your company growth strategy?
Polyplastics is currently expending in China, India, North America and other regions. And we are making a foothold here in Germany.
Thank you very much for this interview!
