Effective mold cooling with higher temperature resistance

Hasco HT-Temp-Presse

Engineering plastics and new high-tech plastics require high mould temperatures for optimum processing throughout the entire injection moulding process. Standard commercial temperature control systems with conventional FKM (Viton®) seals cannot withstand these conditions over the long term, they become hard and brittle then start to leak relatively quickly.

On the basis of our extensive experience and design developments, HASCO offers a specially reworked cooling system that can withstand long-term service temperatures of up to 250°C, depending on the medium employed. This is achieved by means of a special sealing element which, in contrast to conventional sealing rings, has the requisite long-term heat stability.

The HT range supplements HASCO's long-proven standard range and can be readily and rapidly combined with this. All cooling elements bearing the letters "HT" at the end of their designation contain the new sealing elements as standard. As part of this further development project, the throughput of the couplings was also reviewed and refined.

It proved possible to increase throughput by up to 10%. By using connecting couplings with a shut-off valve, a higher temperature resistance is achieved, together with more effective cooling of the mould. With its innovative HT series, HASCO is the only supplier on the market to offer high-temperature couplings with an optimised throughput in its standard components range.
