Sumitomo (SHI) Demag is proud to announce a major milestone in the decades-long partnership with the valued customer ARaymond GmbH & Co KG. In Weil am Rhein, Germany, ARaymond has established a state-of-the-art production hall featuring Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs) for streamlined material and product logistics, along with a unique supply concept where mobile silos deliver just-in-time material supply. Naturally, this high level of automation requires equally reliable injection molding machinery.
With the latest addition of two fully electric IntElects, the entire production hall is now outfitted exclusively with Sumitomo (SHI) Demag machines, producing specialized fastening applications for the automotive industry. “The IntElect machines have been customized and optimized together with our long-time partner Sumitomo (SHI) Demag to achieve the highest level of flexibility in production planning, quick setup times, and optimal ergonomics for the setup personnel,” states Martin Knobloch, Project Manager at ARaymond.
Another essential factor for ARaymond was the IntElect’s exceptional availability, energy efficiency and precision. “The precision of the machines allows for the shortest startup phases and generates the most stable processes, which are essential for our demanding product portfolio,” Knobloch explains. In addition, their high energy efficiency has a direct impact on ARaymond’s sustainability goals. “This significantly reduces the carbon footprint of our production,” he adds.
Sumitomo (SHI) Demag team is proud to support this cutting-edge facility and extends its gratitude to ARaymond for their continued trust in Sumitomo (SHI) Demag machinery.
