Dr. Boy GmbH & Co. KG, located in Neustadt-Fernthal, has expanded its range of additional aggregates for the multi-component injection moulding. With these aggregates with the type designation Boy2C, conventional injection moulding machines can be easily and flexibly upgraded to a 2-component or multi-component machine by a simply docking.

The additional aggregates are now available in sizes XS, S, M and L and can be equipped with different injection units and screw diameters up to a plasticizing volume of 280.5 cm3. The injection unit has its individual hydraulic drive and control.
The complete control- and hydraulic aggregate is positioned next to the basic machine. The aggregate is transportable and can be connected to other injection moulding machines. The controls of both machines communicate via a special optional interface or ensure the smooth running of the injection moulding cycle via appropriate adapter cables.
The injection unit can be positioned onto the basic machine. In case of horizontal machines in a space-saving vertical position, a lateral attachment is also possible. The plasticizing unit with open nozzle is connected by means of a suitably adapted high-pressure hose with the basic unit of the injection unit for the second component.
In case of insert-moulding machines, the injection unit can be attached to VV machines on the rear machine table for space-saving purposes. In case of VH machines, the injection unit stands vertically above the mould.
The screen of the injection unit for the second component is equipped with a long cable, offering an installation at the operator side of the basic machine - right next to the monitor of the main machine.
