Rethink Robotics will be exhibiting its Sawyer collaborative robot with two recent product developments at NPE 2018: the ClickSmart™ family of gripper kits and its industry-leading software, Intera 5.2 with Intera Insights. Both designed with users in mind, Rethink aims to simplify plastics manufacturing with the easiest-to-deploy cobot in the industry.
Rethink has seen significant growth in the plastics industry, with customers like Tennplasco, Harrison Manufacturing and Plastics Molded Concepts deploying Sawyer to increase productivity and relieve workers from monotonous tasks. Harrison Manufacturing, a custom plastics injection molding manufacturer specializing in molded plastics and light assembly, recently deployed Sawyer at its Jackson, Miss. facility; within hours, Sawyer was up and running. Harrison experienced immediate success with Sawyer, reducing labor costs and increasing throughput by using Sawyer in ergonomically challenging tasks.
With ClickSmart and Intera Insights, Sawyer meets challenges faced by plastics manufacturers with smart automation. From machine tending of injection molding, blow molding and CNC machines to end-of the line packaging, companies who use Sawyer can see a return on investment in as little as three months. At NPE, Rethink will exhibit how Sawyer allows plastics manufacturers to adjust to constant change, including short production runs, quick changes and modifications, while increasing part quality and efficiency.
