As a globally leading supplier of modular standard components, accessories and hot runner technology, HASCO is constantly taking up the latest topics. The focal points of this year's HASCO Days in Portugal were the standardisation of processes for boosting production, and state-of-the-art virtual technologies for mouldmaking and injection moulding, as part of Industry 4.0. The many registered customers and interested parties were able to benefit from a comprehensive programme of lectures and workshops.

The event was organised by HASCO Portuguesa at its Marinha Grande location. Fourteen partner companies presented their products at the accompanying exhibition. Over a total of two days, experts presented innovations and industry solutions at product and process level. HASCO introduced participants to its standard component and hot runner innovations and also demonstrated the new online portal with its user-friendly functions for supporting mouldmakers and designers.
The topics of the first day:
“Smart Machining" in Industry 4.0 (Mater); The benefits of 4.0 in the Mould Making Industry (Isicom); New Products and Digital Services (HASCO); Industry 4.0 – competitive advantages thanks to the digital transformation (Arburg), Fitness company (Tebis)
The topics of the second day:
Hotrunner system innovations (HASCO); Global Metrology Solutions– from CMM to Tomography (Micronsense); Additive manufacturing in moulds and dies (Renishaw); HASCO Up-to-date (HASCO).
The lectures were followed by an award ceremony at which 27 companies were presented with the "HASCO ORIGINAL - Reference Partner 2017” Diploma.
On the evening of the last day of the event, HASCO Portuguesa organized the “HASCO Days Rock Party” at the Operário - one of the most traditional clubs for live music in Marinha Grande. Customers were able to foster and extend their network and business contacts in a relaxed, entertaining and pleasant environment.
This year too, all the participants were able to take a great deal of new and valuable knowledge home with them. José Silva, General Manager of HASCO Portuguesa: “This was the ninth Open House we have held in Portugal and we proudly consider it to be one of the biggest events of the Portuguese mould industry. For us it is not enough to offer the best standards in the world. As market leader, we are also delighted to assume a great responsibility. We want to ensure that our customers learn everything about the latest innovations in the sector. It is a unique moment for our customers. They can attend lectures that directly implement the applications that have been presented and further expand their network.”
Alongside the technical lectures, the accompanying programme offered around 700 participants plenty of time and space for networking, as well as optimum opportunities for extending their contacts within the sector.
