Absolute Haitian is expanding operations to provide customers with additional support in the USA and Canada. Construction of a new 116,000-sq.-ft. operations facility in Moncks Corner, SC (just outside of Charleston) is underway to add new space for assembly, test and customer demonstration of large tonnage machines and work cells. The facility will also expand sales, applications, service and training services.
Construction of the South Carolina operations facility follows on the expansion of Absolute Haitian’s Worcester, MA headquarters shown above |
“The new facility is a logical next step to support Absolute Haitian’s growing customer and installed machine base, providing more space for stock machines and allowing us to pursue a range of domestic machine assembly options based on the needs of the market,” said co-owner Glenn Frohring. The facility is expected to be operational in 2019.
“The selection of the Charleston, SC area was driven by expansion of the automotive and manufacturing sectors in the southeast region and access to Charleston’s deep-water port,” said co-owner Nate Smith.
Absolute Haitian’s co-owner Mike Ortolano said after a recent on-site visit, “This has been in the planning stage for a couple years and it was spectacular watching the construction team clearing ground and pushing dirt.”
The South Carolina expansion comes quickly on the heels of a major infrastructure project at Absolute Haitian’s Worcester, MA headquarters facility that is now complete.
