As part of the growth strategy, GERHARDI Kunststofftechnik GmbH expand their company activities and build a plant in the USA. The decision for the location Montgomery in Alabama was made after a detailed site-selection-process. Next to several advantages convinced the location with their infrastructure and their favourable traffic connection. GERHARDI Kunststofftechnik GmbH provides the production start at the end of 2018.

The company plans for their core processes injection moulding, electroplating and assembly an investment volume of 38 Mio. USD. The construction of the new location comprise a production area of app. 10.000m², extensions are still possible. Furthermore there will create 240 new jobs in the region.
“This is an important decision for us and in the same time a milestone in the company history of GERHARDI Kunststofftechnik GmbH. We are looking forward to cooperate with the responsible ones on site and our customers in the USA” says Reinhard Hoffmann.
The traditional company from Lüdenscheid is one of the europe market leader in the field of development and production of galvanize and technically sophisticated plastic parts. With app. 1.400 employees is GERHARDI Kunststofftechnik GmbH producing at the plants Lüdenscheid and Ibbenbüren for Interior and Exterior plastic parts for the automotive industry.
