USA-based molder installs new machine with an automated packaging work cell
Medbio is pleased to announce the delivery of the 22nd press at the end of January. The latest addition is a new Arburg 470C-165 ton hydraulic molding press with a 5oz shot size. This new machine will add both redundancy and additional capacity to our molding capabilities, and will be used for some of higher volume work.
Like most of our Arburg machines, this press has cavity-pressure sensing capabilities, using Kistler-brand sensors. This machine is also equipped with a hydraulic core pull and pneumatic valve gate control, and will have an automated packaging work cell.
The new machine is already in operation, and the automation equipment is scheduled to arrive at the end of February.
