On 15 March 2016, in the presence of around 550 invited guests, ARBURG officially opened the new assembly hall, where large ALLROUNDERs and turnkey systems will be produced. This extends the usable floorspace at the Lossburg site by approximately 13 percent, now amounting to 165,000 m2.
Commitment to the Lossburg location
"The new assembly hall meets our high standards for cost-efficient production and conservation of resources," emphasised Michael Hehl, Managing Partner and Spokesperson for the Management Team in his opening address. "This investment demonstrates our commitment to the environment, to our location and to securing our company's future." ARBURG will use the18,600 m2 new building to meet the growing demand for large injection moulding machines and turnkey systems.
Gala opening event
On the eve of the ARBURG Technology Days 2016, around 550 guests from all over the world enjoyed a unique event with a spectacular stage show and a roster of high-profile speakers, including William R. Carteaux, President of the Society of the Plastics Industry (USA) and Thorsten Kühmann, Managing Director of the VDMA Professional Association for Plastic and Rubber Machines (Germany). There were two major surprises at this event: the world premiere of the electric ALLROUNDER GOLDEN ELECTRIC and the introduction of the new Managing Director Sales, Gerhard Böhm. In a dialogue with his predecessor Helmut Heinson, who is retiring, he explained further details of the new machine series.
