Plustech, Inc., the North American Branch of Sodick’s IMM Division, released two new vertical micro injection molding machines. The high-cycle HC03VRE and HC05VRE are 3 ton and 5 ton, respectively, Vertical Micro Molding machines that come standard with a high speed rotary table.
The new 3 and 5 ton verticals are built for speed with ultra-fast table rotation. Sodick’s patented V-Line two-stage plunger technology, which separates the plasticization and injection processes for consistent measurement and injection of the melt stream along with a proprietary close/clamp system capable of providing sub-second dry cycle speeds which gives the machine the edge end users are looking for. All this coupled with an optimized footprint, makes the Sodick vertical micro injection molding press a leader in the micro- and nano-molding industry.
The Vertical Rotary Table “VRE” Series now ranges from 3 ton to 150 ton with high speed models at 3 and 5 ton.
NuTec received the first Sodick HC05VRE in the United States in December of 2015. NuTec of Meadville, PA designs and builds custom automation for domestic and international clients. Tessy Plastics of Elbridge, NY and NuTec are collaborating to integrate the HC05VRE for a high precision medical automation project. The HC05VRE and the press-side automation are part of a larger mold-side automation system; custom designed and built by NuTec for Tessy Plastics.
In order to meet production rates, NuTec is custom integrating a unique Pick & Place unit to achieve sub-second sprue picking fully coordinated with the HC05VRE.
