Like most of the businesses worldwide today, also the WITTMANN Group companies have to face special challenges due to the corona virus pandemic. In order to contribute to the global crisis management and even so to keep in touch with customers, the necessary measures were taken.

For employees, customers, and suppliers, all the necessary safety precautions were taken. Wherever possible, activities have been moved to the home office and currently no visits of the production facilities are taking place.
Nevertheless, the production operations in some of the plants are kept up so far. As from today, April 17, WITTMANN Group status is as follows:
The production plants in Hungary and China continue their production without any limitation.
Also, the three production plants of WITTMANN Austria in Vienna and Wolkersdorf are now working without any limitation.
WITTMANN BATTENFELD in Kottingbrunn, Lower Austria, had shut down production temporarily until Monday, April 20. In Kottingbrunn, goods receiving, the service hotline, spare parts delivery and purchasing will be fully available – to guarantee the best possible service for the customers.
WITTMANN production plant in La Buisse/France has partially reopened the production operation starting from April 9 onwards. All other departments of WITTMANN BATTENFELD France are available, such as service hotline, deliveries of spare parts, technical consultations.
In the U.S., Federal State of Connecticut made an Executive Order, for those who can work remote to do so, and for many non-essential companies, to close until April 22. However, over 45 medical supply customer letters came in seeking WITTMANN BATTENFELD USA as essential supplier to allow them to continue to make essential medical supplies that are critical for this pandemic. Currently, WITTMANN BATTENFELD USA factories in Torrington, CT have their staff voluntarily coming in to support production for essential customer needs. Also for the U.S. division, Parts and Service are still supporting customers. This includes phone tech support, web service, after hours hotlines.
