Husky returned to Gulfood Manufacturing with innovations

News 12.11.2021

Husky Injection Molding Systems, a leading technology provider to the plastics processing community, returned to exhibit at Gulfood Manufacturing in Dubai, UAE from November 7-9. Husky’s booth was showcasing the company’s latest innovative solutions enabling its customers to adapt to continuously changing consumer and market demands for food and beverage packaging.

“Husky understands that market conditions and consumer demands in the region are changing, having been particularly impacted over the last year by COVID-19,” said Wassim Labban, Husky’s Vice President, Rigid Packaging, EEMEIA, SEA, ANZ. “As a result, we have seen a number of trends emerging that have influenced consumer preferences, patterns of consumption, food safety, package optimization and sustainability. We are excited to be back exhibiting at Gulfood Manufacturing to present how our solutions enable customers to not only adapt but thrive in today’s unprecedented global climate.”

To effectively respond to the various trends emerging out of COVID-19, producers have had to adopt flexible manufacturing processes that enable them to adapt to ongoing changes with speed and certainty. To help its customers achieve this, Husky has worked to provide integrated, agile solutions that offer the lowest total cost to produce, freedom in packaging design and reduced risk. At the show the company is showcasing its versatile PET systems and tooling portfolio covering all application and production needs, fully integrated beverage closure systems, and diverse packaging systems for the industrial, food and consumer goods markets.

Husky was also showcasing a wide range of food, beverage, and consumer goods applications that can be manufactured in PET. This includes applications produced using its Multi-Layer Technology, which enables packages with exciting design and functional treatments, as well as dramatically enhanced shelf appeal. Demonstrating its commitment to sustainability and the circular economy, Husky was displaying packages produced with increased rPET content, lightweighted bottles, as well as tethered closure designs to meet various packaging legislation that is emerging around the world.

In addition to its suite of food and beverage packaging solutions, Husky offered an unmatched level of global support in more than 40 countries and a range of services to keep customer equipment running at maximum efficiency. This included its Advantage+EliteTM proactive, predictive and transparent monitoring solution. Introduced early in 2020, Advantage+EliteTM monitors systems within customers’ production facilities in real-time while proactively engaging to secure and maintain the lowest total cost to produce and ensure customer equipment is continuously running at peak capacity.
