From the end of June to the end of October, the "Mouldmakers’ Meeting Point” is holding its events in the hotspots of the German-speaking mouldmaking industry. This series of after-work meetings launched by German tool and mouldmakers’ association VDWF has proved highly popular. Around 60 participants followed the invitation to this year's kick-off event on 28 June 2022 at HASCO, the Lüdenscheid-based standard mould unit manufacturer.

HASCO – Enabling with system
HASCO created the basis for modern mouldmaking in 1960 with the invention and patenting of its modular mould unit system. The basic idea of standardisation revolutionised tool and mouldmaking and is still one of the company’s key success factors today. HASCO develops the standards of tomorrow in close cooperation with its customers while observing the latest trends on the market.
HASCO CEO Christoph Ehrlich welcomed guests at the start of the event, explaining that “we are delighted to be hosting this special event. It is here that we meet up with our customers, the market and the industry. We value the direct contact and discourse and it helps us to systematically simplify tool and mouldmaking still further with our standard mould components".
Life lessons from football
VDWF managing director Ralf Dürrwächter reported on current association topics before VIP guest and referee legend Lutz Wagner went on to inspire non-football-players in the audience too with his contribution "Taking decisions in stressful situations – not blowing the whistle is also a decision". Like football players, mouldmakers are also called upon to take quick and goal-oriented decisions. During the half-time breaks, Lutz Wagner came up with valuable tips on how to find the right approach to high-quality solutions. At the end of the event, participants were able to socialise and spend time networking while enjoying culinary delights.
