The main exhibiton for plastics in Spain, Equiplast took place in Barcelona between May 30th and June 2nd with a large number of visitors. Also, at the booth of CENTROTECNICA, representative of the German machine manufacturer BOY in Spain, the number of visitors was a great success.

With five injection moulding machines from its product range, BOY was very well represented for trade visitors, mostly located in Spain, from the plastics industry.
BOY continues to be, for the Spanish market, the maximum technological exponent in compact injection machinery for the clamping force range from 63 to 1250 kN.
The BOY 125 E, during the 4 days of the event, moulded an ASB frisbee with different finishes as far as colour is concerned, demonstrating that it maintains the best characteristics of BOY in larger closing forces, in this case 1250 kN.
A BOY 35 E was moulding a small NAS tray. The BOY 35 E is a fully hydraulic reciprocating screw injection molding machine with four columns, a two-platen clamping unit up to 350 kN and a tilting injection unit. This unit was exhibited accompanied by an LR5 automatic collection system that placed the trays on a conveyor belt.
A BOY 22, a model with more than 25,000 units sold, demonstrated the maximum efficiency of this machine and the low cost/hour ratio. Occupying just 1.85 m² of space, and a cantilevered clamping unit that offers easy access and space for individual options or automated systems, this model was demonstrating the moulding a small part in a precision micromould.
The BOY XS model, with a closing force of up to 100 kN, showcased the proven BOY technology and all the advantages of the larger BOY machines, in a compact size and economically priced by moulding a small carabiner.
The XXS model with mould fixing plates, injected a small bottle opener proving that it is a model specially designed to adapt to the standard support plate systems of most well-known micro-mould support manufacturers and unlike other brands it is equipped with an alternative plasticizing screw with diameters from 8 to 18 mm and with specific injection pressures of up to 2,750 bar.
Visitors who came to the CENTROTECNICA / DR.BOY booth were able to see first-hand that the German manufacturer's machines are designed to satisfy all kinds of applications and that BOY has become the leading supplier of injection moulding machines with forces of closing of up to 1,250 kN.
