After more than 40 years of work in the plastics industry – 20 of them as Managing Director of WITTMANN Kunststofftechnik AG in Switzerland – Werner Bürli will go into his well-deserved retirement at the end of 2023.
In 2003, what was then WITTMANN Kunststoffgeräte GmbH took over the Swiss company Streuli (which had been responsible for representing WITTMANN flow controllers and temperature controllers from 1983) and at the same time appointed Streuli Sales Manager Werner Bürli as Managing Director of the new subsidiary of the WITTMANN Group in Switzerland: WITTMANN Kunststofftechnik AG. Since then, the company has been selling the WITTMANN product portfolio with great success on the Swiss high-tech market under the management of Werner Bürli. One special characteristic of WITTMANN Kunststofftechnik AG is the competence to handle the work on complete automation cells at the location of the subsidiary in Kaltbrunn – from project planning to final commissioning at the customer.
Gjone Kabashi has been appointed as Werner Bürli’s successor. Michael Wittmann, Managing Director of the WITTMANN Group, expresses his delight at this appointment: “In Gjone Kabashi we have found the ideal person for the position of Managing Director of the Swiss subsidiary. In his person, customer orientation and a keen sense for leadership are combined with technical competence. We wish Gjone Kabashi all the best and at the same time would like to thank Werner Bürli very much for all the great work done over so many years. We are convinced that our Swiss organization will continue to grow under the new management in the coming years.” Thomas Robers, Managing Director of the independent agency BATTENFELD Schweiz AG, is also looking forward to the continuation of the successful and cooperative collaboration between the two organizations.
After retiring, Werner Bürli will join the Board of Directors of WITTMANN Kunststofftechnik AG on January 1, 2024.
