In this way, we are optimally prepared for the further development of our activities in China.”
Kevin Wang contributes 19 years of management experience in the plastics engi-neering industry. He has already been working for European companies in Asia since 2014. Jonathan Ching goes into retirement
With the entry of Kevin Wang into the Group, WITTMANN has restructured its activi-ties in China. Kevin Wang is now responsible for the business in Northern and Eastern China including the Shanghai subsidiary and the production plant in Kun-shan, located about 30 kilometers to the west of Shanghai. In Southern China, Terry Liu is the General Manager in charge of the sales and service subsidiary located in Dongguan. Terry Liu has been working for WITTMANN in China for almost 20 years and has contributed substantially to the development of WITTMANN’s excellent standing on the Chinese market.
To be well prepared for a smooth transition, Kevin Wang started already in Septem-ber, familiarizing himself thoroughly with his new tasks in China and at the corpo-rate headquarters in Austria.
The long-standing Managing Director Jonathan Ching will retire in mid-December. “Mr. Ching has developed and expanded our presence in China very successfully over the past 21 years and formed a first-class team in China”, says Werner Witt-mann. “We take this opportunity to thank him very sincerely for his great commit-ment.”
Ready for further growth with a new structure
WITTMANN has been present in China with its own sales and service subsidiary since 2001. Since 2005, the company has been producing robots, temperature con-trollers, materials handling equipment, compact dryers and granulators for the local markets at its Kunshan facility. In May 2021, WITTMANN set another milestone in China by opening its new sales and service center in Dongguan.
“China is an important growth market for us”, says Werner Wittmann. “With the new structure and strengthened management team, we are responding to the highly dy-namic development of the market. We also have many more plans for the future in China.”
