Rosti Group’s commitment to sustainability runs through the entire organization. Rosti Group is proud to announce the first stage launch of their Energy Efficiency Programme in Europe.
Over the past 12 months, Rosti Sustainability Team has conducted a comprehensive survey of energy consumption across the European sites, identifying significant opportunities to enhance energy efficiency.
Rosti now has an appointed Energy Leader at each of their injection moulding facilities, leading on initiatives to drive improvements in energy consumption and efficiency.
Rosti aim is to reduce energy consumption by over 10% through energy saving and management measures. With a number of innovative measures in place, along with a roadmap for additional enhancements in the pipeline, this is already progressing well.
To facilitate collaboration and knowledge sharing, Rosti Group has developed an Energy Efficiency ‘Community of Practice’ for Rosti Energy Leaders to share insights, best practices, and collaborate on initiatives that can support all of Rosti production facilities in reaching sustainability goals.
Mark Brown, Engineering Manager, Rosti UK, has been instrumental in driving substantial progress at the Stamford Bridge injection moulding facility. Rosti UK has successfully implementation of several specific improvements.
“Over the last 12 months the Rosti UK site, for example, has focused on energy saving opportunities working on various projects such as the installation of electrical motor variable speed invert drive systems, air leak surveys as well as optimisation of compressor set ups. The Identification of the most efficient machinery and processes was also key to success.
“During the journey support was welcomed from across the business in all functions, for example through greater staff awareness, the team are now involved in the routing checks, recorded on the weekly Layer Process Audits.
There are also dedicated weekly reviews highlighting and celebrating improvements and focusing on the next projects.
“To drive the business further a clear action plan has been generated from the recent Axes Technology energy survey workbook, highlighting the future gains and investments required. The energy awareness also supports the procurement of new plant and equipment with the cross over learnings.” commented Mark Brown, Engineering Manager and Energy Leader.
As Rosti Group continues to champion sustainable practices, the Global Energy Efficiency Programme will be rolled out across the US and Asia in 2024. This is a significant step and demonstration of Rosti commitment achieving their environmental goals, creating a sustainable business for their people, their customers and the communities the Group operates in.
The company remains dedicated to fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration, ensuring that Rosti operations not only meet but exceed the highest standards of environmental responsibility.
