In order to support the rapid growth of the WITTMANN Group in India and to provide more adequate facilities to accommodate current space requirements, the Head Office of WITTMANN BATTENFELD is moving into new corporate premises. The new building will house a total of 5,000 m² of office and production floor space, which amounts to twice the size of the previous headquarters. In future, the Indian subsidiary of the WITTMANN Group will be located in the Tiruvallur district of Chennai, about 9 km from its current location in Chinna Porur.

In addition to its headquarters in the economically buoyant southern part of India, the WITTMANN Group is running two sales and service facilities in New Delhi and Pune, as well as ten offices in various heavily industrialized areas of India, so that good local support can be provided everywhere in this vast country.
Due to local conditions, the requirements of the Indian plastics industry partly differ widely from the needs of European or American markets. This is why over the years Wittmann Battenfeld India has engaged in some product developments of its own, which perfectly complement the WITTMANN Group’s global product portfolio. So, besides WITTMANN’s standard range, the product portfolio for the Indian market also includes temperature controllers, material dryers plus IML and automation systems from Wittmann Battenfeld India’s own production.
Nanda Kumar, CEO of the Indian subsidiary since its foundation in 2007, is pleased about the extension. “In recent years, the Indian economy and the plastics industry in particular have shown remarkable growth rates. With the additional office and production floor space, we will be in a better position to meet current requirements and to continue building up our customer base both in India and in our export markets.”
In addition to serving the local market, the Indian subsidiary of the WITTMANN Group also takes care of the market requirements on the Arabian Peninsula and in Central Africa.
