Polyplastics Co., Ltd. has started developing a new grade of PLASTRON® LFT that uses the PCR (Post-Consumer Recycling) material PP as the base polymer. Since this grade is made of recycled plastic, it not only contributes to the reduction of PCF (Product Carbon Footprint), but also reduces weight while maintaining the same specifications as conventional PP-GF grades (PP resin containing glass fiber).

Features of PLASTRON® LFT
PLASTRON® LFT is resin in which reinforcing fibers (glass fibers and carbon fibers) of the same length are incorporated into resin pellets in the same direction. As a material it has both rigidity and high impact strength that were unattainable with conventional fiber-reinforced resins, thus enabling the use of thermoplastic resins in place of metals and fiber-reinforced plastics (FRPs) in a broader range of fields.
It is also a thermoplastic resin that combines different types of long fibers in various resin matrices, enabling the optimal grade selection according to the usage application.
Future outlook
Going forward, Polyplastics will continue to develop grades that further reduce PCF and provide engineering plastic solutions that contribute to the reduction of environmental impact and the realization of a recycling-based society.
