To evolve under a renewed, future-ready structure

To evolve under a renewed, future-ready structure

News 18.09.2025

Following a strategic realignment in response to evolving market conditions and after navigating financial headwinds, BCN3D announced that the company’s assets and operations had been acquired by Quantum. Quantum is a newly established company, backed by private investors from the Lleida region with strong ties to Industry 4.0 technology initiatives.

Quantum was founded with the mission of ensuring the sustainable growth of strategic industrial assets and is backed by Sorigué, Banasegur (Sabseg Group), Teberfer, and Inversions Vall (a company owned by shareholders of the Vall Companys agri-food group).

The acquisition has been formally approved and completed through the appropriate legal proceedings, guaranteeing the continuity of operations, full team retention, and a strong foundation for the future. This transition comes after a period of intense internal effort to safeguard the company’s long-term viability. With the support of Quantum, BCN3D now enters a more focused phase ‒ leaner, more agile, and better positioned to continue delivering advanced 3D printing solutions to the light industrial market.

All of BCN3D’s assets ‒ including the recently inaugurated headquarters and production center in Lleida ‒ remain intact and fully operational. Quantum will build on the investments, infrastructure, and momentum developed over recent years, ensuring continuity across products, technologies, and brands. The entire BCN3D team remains in place and continues operating as usual, upholding the quality, responsiveness, and support that partners and customers have come to expect.

Built on a Solid Foundation
BCN3D has long been recognized for its contributions to industrial-grade 3D printing solutions. Its flagship products ‒ the Omega I60 and Epsilon Series ‒ are trusted by professionals across industries, from automotive, engineering and product design to advanced manufacturing. The Epsilon Series is dedicated to clients who need the flexibility to produce technical, one-off models, while the Omega I60 is designed for users transitioning from one-off prototypes to consistent production runs. It also seamlessly integrates into the workflows of established 3D printing labs that are looking for agile solutions within their production fleets.

This acquisition ensures that these technologies ‒ and the roadmap behind them ‒ will continue to evolve under a renewed, future-ready structure. Quantum will build on this foundation to drive innovation, strengthen BCN3D’s position in the light industrial market, and expand its offering to meet the changing needs of modern manufacturing.
