A great success: the premiere of the Meusburger Die and Mould Making Days
On October 12th and 13th, 2016, the first Meusburger Die and Mould Making Days took place in the festival hall in Bregenz, Austria. The event was organised in cooperation with the Association of German Tool and Mould Makers and the ‘FORM+Werkzeug’ industry magazine. Amidst a stunning setting, with beautiful views of the Lake Constance, more than 200 daily visitors were offered exiting lectures and during the breaks exchanged information on current topics in die and mould making. On both days, in addition to participating in the sold-out industry meeting, they also had the possibility of visiting an in-house exhibition, and concluded the day with a boat cruise and dinner.
Exchange of knowledge
During the two-day event, experts from the industry gave lectures on various subjects and innovations related to die and mould making. In the breaks between the first-class lectures, the more than 200 daily visitors had the possibility to inform themselves about the products and services of the 36 renowned exhibitors from the industry represented at the event. These breaks were also the perfect opportunity to enjoy a snack and exchange knowledge with other participants and experts. Each day was concluded with a one-hour boat cruise on Lake Constance and a first-class dinner with live music. Andreas Sutter, Head of Marketing at Meusburger explains the concept behind the new event format: 'The idea was to develop an event in our home region involving themes from die and mould making which takes place in the years between the Fakuma fairs.'
A home game for Meusburger
The venue near Lake Constance is only a few kilometres away from the Meusburger headquarters in Wolfurt and therefore the perfect location for an event organised by the standard parts manufacturer so they could offer interested visitors the possibility to visit the Meusburger production site in Wolfurt. This opportunity was used by many visitors, and they were very enthusiastic about both the event and the company tours: ‘We are very happy about the extremely positive feedback we have received from both the visitors and the exhibitors. The fact that the Die and Mould Making Days were sold out motivates us to keep working together with our partners to make this industry meeting a well-established event in the future’, Sutter explains.
