Rosti India celebrates grand opening of new facility in Chennai
The ceremony was a vibrant celebration of tradition, innovation, and collaboration. Rosti’s global leadership, including CEO Jonas Persson, CFO Hans Mansson, and SVP Asia Pat Williams, joined Managing Director Mr. T.K.P. and colleagues from Rosti China and Europe to honour this momentous occasion. Guests were welcomed with a guided tour of the state-of-the-art facility, showcasing its advanced capabilities and commitment to sustainable manufacturing. The formal ceremony embraced the rich cultural heritage of India, beginning with a soulful prayer song and the symbolic lighting of the lamp – a revered tradition symbolising the dispelling of darkness and the ushering in of knowledge and prosperity.

In his welcome address, Mr. T.K.P. expressed pride in the local team and their dedication. Speeches from Pat Williams and Jonas Persson highlighted the strategic importance of India in Rosti’s global operations. A highlight of the event was the address by a key customer representative, who expressed sincere gratitude for Rosti’s investment in India and conveyed strong confidence in the expanded local capabilities. He emphasised that the establishment of Rosti India would enhance supply chain resilience and deliver incremental value to ongoing business, confirming plans to allocate more future projects to Rosti.
Pat Williams concluded the opening like this:
“Standing at the opening, surrounded by our passionate team, I was reminded how far we’ve come as one Rosti Asia family. From our first ideas on paper to seeing this site come alive, it’s been a journey powered by collaboration, determination, and belief in what we can achieve together. This facility represents more than expansion — it reflects Rosti’s long-term commitment to Asia, to developing local talent, and to building sustainable, high-quality manufacturing close to our customers.”
The ceremony concluded with a celebratory ribbon-cutting, the distribution of mementos, and valuable networking among guests, colleagues, and partners from around the world. The opening of Rosti India marks the beginning of a new chapter – one defined by innovation, strengthened partnerships, and a shared commitment to excellence.
