A day of opportunities at HASCO – Open House 2016 in Lüdenscheid
"Enabling with System - thanks to HASCO" - this is what around 250 guests were able to appreciate for themselves during the Open House held in Lüdenscheid at the end of September. This key date for the industry, staged by the internationally leading supplier of modular standard components, accessories and hot runner technology, which has become a firmly established tradition in the meantime, once again constituted a successful mix of an in-house trade fair and a specialist conference
Alongside exciting presentations by HASCO employees and experts from partner companies, 25 eminent exhibitors displayed numerous product and manufacturing innovations for the value added chain, centred around the topic of plastics injection moulding. An agile accompanying programme meant that the specialist visitors were able to acquire comprehensive on-the-spot information about the latest developments and trends in mouldmaking.
After a welcome by CEO Christoph Ehrlich, Executive Vice President Sales & Business Development, Dirk Paulmann, informed those present of the ongoing developments at HASCO. Following this, the official lecture programme started, with an introduction by Axel Fehling/Area Sales Manager West. As the first guest speaker, Marko Gehlen reported from the Kunststoff-Institut Lüdenscheid on pioneering developments in material, mould and process technology. Britta Holterhof and Jochen Müller then presented the new HASCO portal, as an innovative tool for mould makers.
Dirk Dombert (3D SYSTEMS) gave a live presentation of how "producing things simply" can be achieved with HASCO's standard component module and Cimatron software. Information was subsequently provided by Thomas Tauschek/HASCO on innovations, extensions to the range and product assemblies for cost-efficient mouldmaking.
In the afternoon, Walter Ottendorfer from MECADAT AG reported on mould design working with databases, with the intelligent incorporation of standard components using VISI. The new Vario Shot hot runner nozzle series was presented by Florian Larisch, Executive Vice President of the HASCO Hot Runner Division. The advantages of intelligent HASCO standard components in a consistent production process chain was the topic taken up by Dirk Böhlefel of Moldtech GmbH.
The specialist lectures were brought to a conclusion with the presentation of the new HASCO specification for injection moulds which, as Axel Fehling explained in impressive terms, permits even more quality and safety in mouldmaking.
After a closing speech with a prize draw, the event was rounded off by further expert discussions in the specialist exhibition and guided tours of the company. Alongside the technical topics, the accompanying programme offered all those who came plenty of time and space for networking as well as optimum opportunities for extending their contacts within the sector.
Visitors, exhibitors, speakers and, of course, the HASCO team were all pleased at what had been an intensive and enriching day for all those concerned, in line with the HASCO motto of Enabling with System through innovativeness, agility, simplicity and performance.
