At the heart of the event were two specialist lectures, dealing with current topics from tool and mouldmaking. Stefan Reich, Key Account Engineer Hot Runner, showed clearly how modern hot runner technology contributes to cost efficiency. Subsequently, Frank Minninger, Technical Sales Engineer, South Germany, explained the added value of DLC coatings (Diamond-Like Carbon) for mouldmaking. This coating is noted for its very low friction and high corrosion resistance. In mouldmaking, they make a major contribution to longer service life and higher process reliability.
The Museum offered the ideal framework for a technical exchange of ideas and information as well as inspiring discussions. Accompanied by small culinary snacks, there was a pleasant atmosphere for networking and building new contacts.
A special highlight was the exclusive tour through the Mercedes Benz Museum, which offered the guests a fascinating insight into the history and development of automotive engineering.
