Showcasing sustainable production

Showcasing sustainable production

News 27.05.2026

At this year’s FIP (France Innovation Plasturgie) in Lyon, taking place from 2 to 5 June, Dr. Boy GmbH & Co. KG, together with its French representative Béwéplast, will be presenting a high-performance yet sustainable injection moulding solution.

BOY XS E & BOY 35 E

The centrepiece of the exhibition stand is two BOY injection moulding machines:
On a BOY 35 E, equipped with the energy-efficient EconPlast unit and a screw diameter of 32 mm, espresso cups with a shot weight of 52 g and a cycle time of 45 seconds are produced.Particular at-tention is paid to the material used: the cups are made from the high-quality and sustainable NAS® ECO 30 BC70 from INEOS Styrolution. The material is coloured with a white, laser-compatible ink from AF Color, which enables precise and durable marking. The cups can be laser-marked on site.

With this application, BOY impressively demonstrates how energy-efficient machine technology, high-quality materials and modern processing solutions can be combined to form a sustainable overall concept. The compact design of the BOY 35 E enables space-saving production whilst maintaining high precision and process stability.

In addition, a BOY XS will be on display in collaboration with the University of Kassel. Crown caps made of LSR are produced on the smallest BOY injection moulding machine.

The highlight here is the colour change in the bottle caps when the temperature changes. This makes it easy to spot cold drinks straight away. With a clamping force of 100 kN and a footprint of 0.87 m², the BOY XS E offers a wide range of applications in sprue-less micro and small-part injection moulding thanks to innovative and proven technologies. The free-standing two-platen clamping unit with a diagonal arrangement of the tie bars ensures that the plasticising unit, mould cavity and ejector are easily accessible, which facilitates the integration of automation equipment.
