Victrex is marking 20 years of development in China in 2026. Over the past two decades, the Company has continued to strengthen its presence by enhancing local commercial, technical and manufacturing capabilities working closely with customers to support growing demand across key industries. Victrex focuses on PEEK and PAEK high performance polymers, translating their properties into a broad range of product forms to address customers’ different processing and application requirements, enabling greater design freedom and enhanced performance in demanding environments.

According to Victrex’s latest corporate disclosure, Greater China is one of the Company’s fastest growing regions globally. Since 2015, Victrex revenue in Greater China has increased five fold, representing a 17% CAGR. Victrex has established in country commercial, technical and manufacturing capabilities, with a broader end market focus on customers including automotive, aerospace, electronics, industrial and medical, with medical now accounting for around a quarter of regional revenues. In H1 2026, Victrex growth in Asia Pacific was led by its customers in China.
Alongside supporting growing customers’ needs and demand in China and Asia Pacific, Victrex has continued to strengthen its local capability footprint in China. This includes investment in polymer manufacturing and compounding related operations in China, supporting supply resilience and enabling closer collaboration with customers on application development and complex engineering requirements.
As part of Victrex’s medical business, Invibio has also continued to develop its presence in China, supporting local medical device and life sciences applications focused on helping the customers enable better patient outcomes, requiring high performance PEEK and PAEK materials. Through close collaboration with customers and partners, Victrex and Invibio are helping to enable the adoption of high performance polymers in demanding medical applications.
Over the past two decades, Victrex’s development in China has been built on close collaboration with customers. Supported by its local teams and underpinned by its global resources, the Company accelerates application development through material selection support, part design optimisation, prototyping, testing, manufacturing support and targeted technical training. Since the establishment of the AITC in Shanghai, Victrex has continued to work with customers to translate innovation into practical applications, to enable the customers to grow and prosper.
Looking ahead, Victrex will continue to view China as one of its most important strategic markets globally. By combining its global materials science and engineering expertise with local market needs, Victrex will further strengthen collaboration with customers and partners, supporting the adoption of high performance and sustainable material solutions in China.
