Grohe and KraussMaffei are grateful to one another: both partners celebrate the arrival of the 100th machine. |
This January, KraussMaffei held a special ceremony for the commissioning of its one hundredth IMM to Grohe, a top manufacturer of shower and sanitary accessories and installation systems. The Porta Westfalica plant of the company welcomed an economical line for the production of state-of-the-art drain valves, which included a new two-platen hydraulic CX 80-380 machine.
Longtime mutual commitment
Thomas Fuhr, member of the Management Board at Grohe AG, thus commented on the event: “We have benefited from the innovative products and tailored service provided by KraussMaffei for decades. We are delighted that the 100th injection molding machine from our long-term partner is now at our factory in Porta Westfalica. This is a strong symbol both for our good cooperation with KraussMaffei and for the sustained growth and continual further development of our location.”
An extra advantage for Grohe is the Adaptive Process Control (APC) function of all the new KraussMaffei machines. It allows for handling batch fluctuations of up to 17% in base material, and that, in an optimal way. Among other machinery, the APC function adds value to the anniversary CX 80-380 machine, as the latter is used for the manufacture of high-performance valve flaps from polyoxymethylene (POM).
A constant urge for growth
The machine unit bearing the anniversary number stands out thanks to the plate of honor with a “100th — Made for Grohe” sign and signatures of the personnel who symbolically brought it into operation during the ceremony. This addition of another production IMM to the plant is part of the Porta Westfalica investment package of Grohe AG.
