Flexan, LLC, a renowned global contract manufacturer of custom-molded elastomer rubber parts and silicone rubber components for medical products since 1946, is focusing its future growth strategy on the European market.
In Europe, Flexan has so far been focused on high-precision custom molding for the hearing aid technology market. Additionally, its FMI division delivers clean room manufactured silicone rubber components for use in Class II disposable and Class III implantable medical devices. Flexan has wide-ranging experience and success in manufacturing complex parts with tight tolerances including parts that are over-molded to various substrates.
Customers from all business areas have been previously managed by the US headquarters. In order to further optimize the existing service portfolio, Flexan has decided to establish a representation in Europe with a direct contact for commercial, technical or project-related subjects. The shorter distances allow for faster reaction times and improved performance. In addition, Flexan has identified the continent as a major future market and would like to open new fields of business sectors, particularly in medical technology.
In order to further strengthen the company’s position in medical technology and to make better use of the growth potential in the European market, Flexan recently acquired MEDRON Inc., a Salt Lake City based medical device contract manufacturer. The addition of MEDRON significantly enhances Flexan’s contract manufacturing service offerings.
