Plustech, Inc., the North American Branch of Sodick’s IMM Division, is scheduled to attend the “Innovation and Emerging Plastics Technologies Conference” at Penn State Behrend on June 21-22, 2017. The two day conference will highlight many of today’s industry and technology leaders.
The conference will include a keynote talk, various presentations, and tutorials in the college’s 10,500-square-foot plastics processing lab, the largest, most comprehensive plastics training lab in the country.
Plustech will have a display area and will be discussing micro- and nano-molding and the importance of this process in the manufacturing industry today. Plustech will have expert’s on-hand to go over the true micro-molding approach and how it is critical to meet today’s most demanding applications.
They will educate attendees on the challenges of advanced micro-molding, including, managing small metering volumes, dealing with residence time of advanced polymers, meeting a super-quick fill time, and controlling warpage and distortion of thin-wall sections. They will have samples on-hand to show examples of what various processes can achieve and how certain types of machines can achieve different results.
“We attended the event in the past and this was a ‘first-class’ conference,” stated Len Hampton, National Sales Manager, Plustech, Inc., he added “with the success of the event last year and our commitment to education in the plastics industry, we knew we wanted to attend again in 2017.”
