Injequaly earns Whirlpool Supplier Award for quality excellence
Injequaly Industria LTDA, a Brazil-based injection molding company and partner of Viking Plastics in Pennsylvania, have recently received the Whirlpool Supplier Award for Quality Excellence.
To qualify for this award, suppliers must not have caused any plant disruptions in any of Whirlpool’s facilities worldwide – an especially challenging task given the COVID crisis throughout 2020.
Injequaly reports that they are preparing to open a new plant to serve Whirlpool. “We are in the advanced process of opening a plant in Joinville to serve Whirlpool in Southern Brazil,” said Fernando Esteves, Director of Development. “This new plant will supply parts for the refrigeration system. I believe the fact that we are working together with the customer to open this new plant helped us earn this award.”
Also a factor in earning this award was service turnaround time. Assistance in addressing quality issues was less than 24 hours.
“Viking Plastics is very proud of the partnership with Injequaly,” said Viking’s President & CEO Kelly Goodsel. “This is another example of how Viking Plastics can serve its customers across industries (Auto, Appliance, Industrial, HVAC) and across the globe. Congratulations to Fernando, Plant Manager Marcelos Dias, and the entire Injequaly team!”
Despite the restrictions put in place by the COVID-19 pandemic, almost 19 million parts were delivered in 2020 for Whirlpool’s laundry and cooling system. 15 presses were devoted to service Whirlpool’s needs.
“We at Injequaly take great pride in receiving this award. It recognizes the hard work and dedication it takes to manufacture and deliver these products, especially during the pandemic, and to maintain our high-quality standards,” added Esteves.
