Viking Plastics, a trusted name in injection molding and value-added assembly service, announced it has received Nexteer Automotive’s 2023 Perfect Quality Award which recognizes companies that achieve zero quality claims over all product groups.
Nexteer Automotive, a global leader in advanced steering and driveline systems, annually recognizes those who set the standards of exceptional quality performance among their supplier community. Winners are chosen from within its community of suppliers. This year, Viking Plastics received the award for supplying a product with zero defects over a 12-month period.
“Nexteer and their customers are known for their quality performance, and we aim to help them in their quest to be among the best,” says Bob Senz, Viking Plastics’ Director of Quality. “We know our role as a supplier for OEM’s and Tier 1 automotive companies is to provide the best quality at the best price possible and we take that seriously.”
Senz says the core of Viking Plastics is found in their commitment to continuous improvement which allows the company to perform year after year. “Our 2-second lean manufacturing practices position us to be the supplier of choice for all our customers because our focus is to eliminate waste and fix what bugs us,” says Senz. “Continually improving is an award itself, but I’m not going to lie, it’s nice to be honored by Nexteer, too!”
