February 29, 2024 BOY is going to present itself with a BOY XS E at the 27th Technology Day of the Hein engineering office in the Brandboxx in Langenhagen (Hanover). The German machine manufacturer has been an active exhibitor for many years and inspires visitors to the Technology Days year after year with interesting applications.
BOY XS E |
With the latest standards in BOY’s machine equipment and a clamping force of 100 kN on a footprint of just 0.87 m², the BOY XS E offers a wide range of applications in micro and sprueless small part injection moulding with innovative and proven technologies. Many small improvements have been incorporated into the machine which will be delivered with the latest BOY control system. Not only the screen format of the intuitive ALPHA 6 control system has been changed to 16:9, the symbols have also been updated. In addition, new functions have been integrated - but nevertheless all data records from the tried-and-tested Alpha 4 control unit are still fully compatible with the Alpha 6 - in both directions.
The main technical difference between the BOY XS E and its predecessor model BOY XS is the servomotor pump drive (characterised by the "E" in the product name). "In addition to the energy benefits provided by the drive technology of the E-series, the servo drive of the new BOY XS E also scores with its high dynamics and extremely smooth running," reports Martin Kaiser, Head of Technology at BOY.
On the machine a TPE is processed into crown caps - sprueless, of course, in order to use the plastic in a resource-friendly manner. Thanks to the efficient BOY XS E the crown caps made of TPE are produced precisely. With a shot weight of 2.5 g and a cycle time of 21 seconds, this injection moulding machine allows a constant production capacity, too.
The BOY trade fair team is looking forward to welcoming numerous visitors to its booth.
