Husky is the sole technology provider to offer a fully integrated specialty closure system with better productivity and production quality, as well as reduced power requirements. The new HyperSync™ is a coordinated system that makes the machine, the mold, the hot runner and all the tooling work together in the best way possible. Together with smart features and networking for an Industry 4.0 connectivity, this allows for shorter cycles at a reduced total cost per part with no impact on part quality whatsoever.
According to Steve Lawrynuik, the company’s President of Medical and Specialty Packaging, the company “is very excited about our new integrated system offering for specialty closure customers. We have had tremendous success in integrated systems in PET, and now we are looking to replicate that expertise and innovative technology for other markets. We are confident that the development effort put into HyperSync™ is well worth it – this system delivers on performance, energy efficiency and ease of use.”
eIMC™ in-mold closing: up to 20% throughput increase
Husky has always been known for its strong commitment to innovation. HyperSync™ systems come with a new state-of-the-art in-mold closing technology, eIMC™. Thanks to this servo-driven technology, mold functions can be safely overlapped, and flip-top closures closed with high precision while still warm. Fast movements are made with cautious speed control while keeping the required force precisely adjusted at any moment. The eIMC™ technology boasts up to 20% throughput increase thanks to roughly 2 seconds shorter production cycles.
Optimized part quality and reduced power requirement
Augmented electrification enables HyperSync™ system to use power optimally, cutting down operation costs and guaranteeing the lowest total ownership cost. The system keeps an ideal balance between efficiency and productivity, keeping part quality at the top while shortening cycle times impressively. All-electric clamping with regenerative stroke and a servo-variable pumping unit cut power consumption remarkably compared to competitors’ solutions.
Customers that produce specialty closures seek before all for high part quality and performance. Husky experts have done an extensive research on specialty closure topic in what concerns hinge design, the force necessary to open a closure and capabilities for overmolding. The conducted flow simulations allowed for part development and weight optimization, resulting in highly repeatable quality.
Being supplied from a single source helps Husky’s customers to benefit from synergies at the system level, speeding up new product introduction on the market with a better performance.
