New lightweight 26/22 mm standards (GME 30.40)
‘Extra-Light, Easy-Grip’ sums up this range perfectly: from ‘lightened’ necks that reduce PET consumption by up to 15%, without any need for modifications to standard caps, to the widest range of solutions for the new 26/22 mm neck-cap standards (GME 30.40). Ideal for packaging water, CSDs and hot-fill items, these solutions come in both tethered and non-tethered versions and can cut virgin resin (PET and HDPE) consumption by more than 30%, performance remaining equal.
The same concept forms the basis for specific SACMI-developed still water packaging, such as the new 29/25 mm solution with a 2.4 g neck in combination with an ultra-light 1.15 g cap. There’s also a ‘tall’ version; this has the same ergonomic grip as the 30 mm standard but weighs just 1.45 g. And that’s not all: the lightest SACMI water solutions feature the new 1 g and 0.8 g caps, combined, respectively, with 26/22 GME30.28 and 38 mm GME30.39 necks. The result? Unmatched performance in terms of sustainability and resource optimization.

Vision systems and AI
With the widest range of vision systems in the industry, SACMI is upgrading the traditional concept of quality control towards process control. Available in both embedded and off-line versions, these systems incorporate new AI-driven opportunities, facilitating data-driven line management, simplifying controls and eliminating inefficiencies. Opportunities for preform lines include integrating the vision system directly into the IPS press, an option - now available across the entire range - that delivers comprehensive production control.
CCM64MD, the fastest ever
Moving on to compression molding, Gulfood Manufacturing will also showcase the new CCM64MD press, which slashes the cycle time to just 1.35 seconds, the shortest ever. The result: being able to produce up to 4.1 million caps per day, setting a new industry benchmark.
