March 20 to 24, WITTMANN BATTENFELD will highlight its state-of-the-art injection molding technology boasting increased power efficiency at the Plástico Brasil trade fair, organized for the very first time this year. The whole product portfolio of WITTMANN Group will be put on display at the company’s booth.
An all-electric EcoPower 110/350 IMM along with a servo-hydraulic SmartPower 180/750 model will be demonstrated, both notable for outstanding power efficiency and equipped with the innovative UNILOG B8 control system. UNILOG B8, running under Windows® 10 IoT, stands out by increased ease of operation and extra features.
The displayed EcoPower machine, equipped with an electronic flow controller WITTMANN FLOWCON plus, will show the production of PA ball filters in a four-cavity mold. The mold supplier is Zimmermann-technik (HK) Ltd. Hong Kong with a production facility in Shenzhen (China) and service branches in Austria, Germany and Mexico. The flow controller device manages both closed-loop flow and mold temperature, resulting in part quality improvement and repeatability.
The SmartPower IMM will come totally integrated with a conveyor belt, a robot and peripherals required for up- and downstream processing. Thus, the equipment forms a production cell bringing numerous benefits for machine operators. At the Brazilian trade show, this cell performance will be emphasized by PBT espresso cup/saucer manufacture in a Hein (Austria) single-cavity mold. A WITTMANN W818 robot will handle part removal and transfer to the conveyor belt.
WITTMANN BATTENFELD’s interactive display board at the Plástico Brasil will clearly demonstrate the integration of peripherals and automation equipment in UNILOG B8 that follows the WITTMANN 4.0 concept in line with Industry 4.0 guidelines.
Along with peripherals fit at the IMMs to be on display at the Plástico Brasil, WITTMANN BATTENFELD has a number of impressive standalone solutions at hand.
First, a linear robot named W833 pro with B-C lightweight-technology servo axes will be demonstrated. The robot impresses with outstanding energy efficiency and dynamism thanks to a special WITTMANN drive.
Individual peripherals on display will encompass an impressive product range, from flow controllers to material loaders and dryers. Among others, trade show visitors will see: TEMPRO basic and TEMPRO plus D temperature controllers; GRAVIMAX G14 gravimetric metering device; LED-lighted material loaders FEEDMAX B, FEEDMAX S 3-net and FEEDMAX plus; DRYMAX E dryer and ATON plus G segmented wheel dryer, the latter boasting constant dew point and high power efficiency.
