Compressed air is one of the most expensive sources of energy in a plant. The overall efficiency of a typical compressed air system can be as low as 10-15%. Many moulders are developing plant-wide compressed air management policies to cut costs and reduce waste by eliminating inappropriate uses, fixing leaks, and matching system supply with demand.
MÜLLER has spent months of development time to design an IML automation systems that is fully electric. Significantly reducing the energy consumption of an IML robotic system.
Energy savings as high as 40% have been achieved. Additionally, this robot offers lower costs of maintenance, fine-tuning of all parameters through the HMI and extremely smooth and accurate movements.
The production cell will consist of an FERROMATIK F360 ton injection moulding machine running a 4 cavity MÜLLER mould. The Wet Wipes Container being produced has a side panel label that gives high graphic branding space and a very attractive look for the consumer. The automation system which is supplied by MÜLLER incorporates the IML system, part takeout, vision inspection and part stacking.
