PLAST, held every three years, is one of the most important exhibitions for the plastics and rubber industry worldwide. The 54,000sqm exhibition area welcomed 63,000 visitors, who came to find out more about a wide range of products suitable for injection moulding, blow moulding, thermoforming and many more.
Showcase
This year TH Plastics – the sole UK supplier of Moretto products – helped to showcase the manufacturers Moisture Meter box, guard and manager, and Eureka Plus drying system – machinery that can help plastic manufacturers reduce consumption through smart and sustainable solutions.

Moretto had significant interest in the unique “drying on demand” Moisture Meter Manager – which attracted interest from visitors, especially from processors of medical, PET and automotive sectors, who have already witnessed the advantages of the product, including quality of the finished product, energy efficiency and reduction of waste.
James Goddard, Technical Sales manager at TH Plastics, attended the event. He said: “This exhibition is one of the most important in the plastic industries calendar. TH Plastics has a great reputation with Moretto and we understand the complex needs of our customers.
“We have extensive knowledge about the machinery, and we are well placed to explain the benefits of Moretto machinery and how it can generate substantial energy savings, minimise downtime and increase production.”
This year Moretto focused on energy saving, sustainability and intelligent machines which are able to meet the needs of all plastics processors, whether they are involved in injection, PET treatment or extrusion.
Empowering plastics
After almost 40 years of ‘Plastics Automation’, Moretto has changed their strapline to ‘Empowering Plastics’ – giving more power to plastics, by helping the supply chain from the beginning and by offering competitive solutions, with high technological value for mould and environmental problems.
During the exhibit, Moretto renewed its commitment to the company’s long-term project Be Tomorrow – focusing on eco-responsible attitudes and processes, research and continuous innovation to reduce electricity consumption, and increase recycling and bio-plastics.
