Husky has displayed their most recent developments at K 2016

Husky has recently significantly updated its HyCAP™4 closure system, focusing on even more machine, mold and tooling integration. As a result, the manufacturing system offers not only easier operation but also better performance and power efficiency. The HyCAP™4 boasts its 2.4-second cycle time for producing 1.25 g 29/25 closures for mineral water bottles, as it was demonstrated at the company’s booth.

The other showcased system solution was entirely novel: HyperSync™ for specialty closure production. The system manufacturing 6.1 g flip-top closures for shampoo bottles with an extremely short 8.5 s cycle time attracted many visitors to Husky’s booth, thanks to the completely integrated in-mold closing technology, eIMC™. The technology guarantees more control precision while molding with safe overlapping of mold operations. Better part quality is thus provided with cycle time reduced by more than one fifth.

President of Husky’s Medical and Specialty Packaging division, Steve Lawrynuik, confessed: “We are very excited about what the HyperSync™ platform will offer our customers looking for increased integration of machine and mold features for unique applications. The name of the system is really reflective of what this integration can do, which is synchronize the machine and mold functions extremely well and at impressively fast cycle times.”

Husky has not limited itself to a couple of innovations at an event as important as K show. Being one of the leading companies in the field of PET preform manufacturing, Husky presented a varied portfolio of completely integrated solutions for injection molding of low and high volume that help bringing performance and product quality to a maximum. Moreover, when applied to packaging, these solutions contribute to products’ better functionality and appearance.

The most recent PET innovation by Husky is the Multi-Layer Barrier Technology that brings the opportunity of using PET in enhanced barrier packaging to customers that normally employed carton, aluminum of glass for these tasks. The company displayed this technology extensively during K 2016 jointly with Intravis LayerWatcher machine-vision inspection solution.

Husky also displayed its dedicated plastic solutions for medical industry, marketed under Schöttliź brand. These system solutions eliminate any risk during molding of various medical parts, providing better part quality and safer end devices. Another thing on display was a 64-cavity barrel mold boasting extreme precision and high capacity, which are trademark qualities for Schöttliź.

Visitors of the Husky’s booth also had the possibility to enjoy the special Hot Runners and Controllers zone with live demos of Ultra Helix™ Valve Gate nozzles, winners of Ringier Award, and the new Altaniumź Servo Control technology developed for an easy use.

Finally, the latest solutions for automotive have also been on display. LUCENT™ angled manifolds designed for injection molding of automotive lenses and UNIFY™ pre-assembled manifolds exemplified Husky’s advances in the field.
